Project Athena - Day 315 (Framed)

Spring is Coming

I had a weird day out shooting. I felt somewhat like I had been abducted from my body by aliens and taken to the mothership for experiments. I don't know why exactly. Maybe driving around East of I-25 is not such a good idea for this earth Momma. Between the fracking wells, the factory farms, and the fertilizers, I was in an alternate universe for awhile. Once I crossed back over to the West side, I started feeling grounded again. Huh. Weird.

Framed in Lights

I wanted to get outside to shoot today but the rain didn't stop until just around the same time the sun went down. So I am sharing one of my first night shots I took earlier this week. This is one of my favorite places to go rest and heal. Enjoy.

The Lagoon

Today's weather: snowy, rainy, cloudy, cold, windy. It's Spring in Colorado.

I shot this picture last year at the CSU Lagoon. It was a beautiful summer night with many people arriving for the popular Lagoon Summer Concert Series. Looking at the 2015 line up for this season, I am definitely gonna be catching some tunes, especially Wendy Woo. Hope to see you there!

Framed and Busted

Yogi, relaxing in his second to favorite beddy, let me take this picture but only because he did not realize he was the subject of the lens. He must have thought I was just fooling around with the sandstone sculpture that I was shooting through and not noticing him. Funny cat.
