Project Athena - Day 312 (Framed)

Framed and Busted

Yogi, relaxing in his second to favorite beddy, let me take this picture but only because he did not realize he was the subject of the lens. He must have thought I was just fooling around with the sandstone sculpture that I was shooting through and not noticing him. Funny cat.

Project Athena - Day 271 (Freebie)

I'm Out!!

"I'm over this lady! How dare you put me in a box with bright lights and attempt to make clicking noises with that cold thinger that sits on a post. I don't care how much cat nip you offer, this was not my idea and you will not trick me into putting on my cute play face for you or signing any waivers. Surely, after 13 years, you should know that I sit in boxes of my own choosing, like the CostCo box. By the way, where is that box? Hissss. You call this art? I call it animal cruelty and just wait til my mom gets home! She's gonna hear all about your shenanigans. Now, if you will excuse me, I am stressed and I am gonna go eat and then puke."

Project Athena - Day 155 (Micro/Macro)

Taking A Closer Look

The eye of a human being is a microscope, which makes the world seem bigger than it really is.
— Khalil Gibran

I am going to be taking a closer look a the world this week, discovering the tiny, infinite universes that exists everywhere. It should be a wonderful experiment.

Project Athena - Day 106 (Transparency)

Hours of Entertainment

You can’t go on “seeing through” things forever. The whole point of seeing through something is to see something through it. To “see through” all things is the same as not to see.
— C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

This week starts a new theme that I actually did not list originally but is wanting to be shot...so...I accept the "transparency" challenge and put out the intention to make some interesting shots that step out of my comfort range for "what makes a good photo."

Transparency could also be shot as a concept. Hmmm. Another challenge.

If you have cats, this fake, motion activated butterfly in a jar is kitty crack television and worth hours of human entertainment.
