Project Athena - Day 195 (Food)

Today I was thinking about what it actually takes to feed a planet's inhabitants. Wrapping my head around the massiveness of the whole food industry is impossible. I simply cannot fathom the energy that goes into modern growing and processing techniques that bring to market edible, nutritious, affordable, packaged sustenance on a daily basis.

This week has deepened my appreciation for the abundance in my life. I have never once experienced a single day of hunger and that awareness brings me humbly to my knees. It also reminds me that I have the capacity and desire to share this abundance with others. I am going to find a way to give back and hopefully help someone else from going hungry.

Keeping it Fresh

There is nothing like a perfectly ripened avocado to make this girl happy. Throw in some organic, garden fresh jalapenos, garlic, onion, sweet peppers, cilantro and a touch of lime and you will have a guacamole that is better than....lots of other things.
