Project Athena - Day 180 (Threes)

For My Sisters

This small candle holder resides on our dining room table, a symbol of the many gatherings of women we have in our home. I love the conversations that ensue because of this piece of art. Imaginations flare and every woman has a unique, creative interpretation of what these three women are conversing about.

For me, the specifics of their stories is not what draws me to look upon their beauty but the openness of their hearts as told by their body language. The real story here is the depth of listening taking place, the sincere compassion, the unconditional acceptance of the idiosyncrasies and the full expression of love. This is what a women's circle means to me. Thank you to all my sisters who make up the numerous circles I travel within. Your presence is the greatest gift in my life and our sharing in this life together feeds my soul.
