Project Athena - Day 301 (Words)

Healing Happens

I do believe the body is made to heal itself, especially when the being chooses to help this natural process along. Today was lots of healing stuff. Ice, heat, rest, long hot shower, massage, touch, tincture, balms, laying on the earth, tears, release, laughter.

Thanks for all the positive messages and well wishes everyone!

Just Create

Wow, can you believe it's day 300?  A nice soft, pat on the back to me and to all my followers out there in cyber land. This feels like a landmark and truly the beginning of the home stretch on Project Athena.

Sadly, I didn't shoot today. I pulled this photo from my archives because...while I am having a slightly better day with this painful back flare up, I am taking it easy and riding this one out at home. I remember when I shot this picture last summer though as I drove through the parking lot of the Fort Collins Senior Center. I remember thinking that whoever made these colorful banners with the inspiring messages was a lucky sign company and that I am blessed to live in a city where seniors are honored and considered vital contributors to the community.

Looking for a Little Magic

Can I just say how difficulty it is to be creative and inspired when physical pain is wracking the body. Some of you out there following this blog know exactly what I am saying and my prayers go out to you, as well as myself, for healing and magic. I am ready to get back to the business of creativity.

Project Athena - Day 298

Love Is

This is just a very small section of the colorful wall mural on the "One Love" business, a local head shop in Loveland. I've been wanting to shoot this building every since it was rebuilt and repainted earlier this year. This is a great little shop for all things "hippie", which I of course LOVE.

No PhotoShopping on this, believe it or not. This is straight out of the camera.  I did use an advanced filter that is on board my new FujiFilm to get the colors to pop and to blur out the top and bottom. Great effect for this particular picture.
