Bridge to My Heart

When I think of why I make pictures, the reason that I can come up with just seems that I’ve been making my way here. It seems right now that all I’ve ever done in my life is make my way here to you.
— Robert from Bridges of Madison county

I love bridges because they are both literally and metaphorically about connection. For me, taking pictures is turning out to be a bridge to discovering myself, meeting new people, and exploring new places. More and more, random people are stopping to ask me what I am up to and why I am photographing something. The conversations are simple human connections and very heart opening. I find myself feeling less afraid and more excited about what wonderful connections will be made today.

I shot this last night as part of an assignment for my photo class. It feels appropriate to stretch the guidelines again and share it because....

Smiling and happy to have a new theme!!!
